@ted_splitter It’s a bit mad isn’t it, but quite fun! That Simmons drum sound was really popular in the mid ‘80s, and I think studios liked them because they saved space, and didn’t need miking up. They crop up on a bunch of punk/ metal albums in that era, like the Exploited’s ‘Horror Epics’

Day two of rinsing this yobbo classic, the Oppressed's first album, from 1984. The drum machine is controversial but I like the sound of it! Roddy's vocals are absolutely ferocious throughout. Love it.

I don’t understand why me saying I liked a movie and that my theatre was packed has drawn such ire. It’s…strange. I loved They Will Kill You. I loved Zazie Beetz in it. My theatre was full, but it’s struggling, so I’m encouraging folks to see it. That’s it. 🤷🏽‍♀️
