What I love about @THORChain and the community? Resilience. Because it matters. While typical suspects and many newcomers spread FUD, criticize, or dance on graves. Treating it like the cancer of crypto just for attention. The whole team and community know what’s important and are already deep into fixing it and moving forward. That is why it’s the Cockroach of Crypto. It doesn’t care if you are fuming or want it dead. It evolves, fixes things, and comes back stronger, unable to be captured or put down. A true community of builders and visionaries. Far from perfect, as all humans are, but with the only mindset that can build such an important protocol. Would the incident have been preventable? Possibly yes, but we need to wait until the team pins down the exact exploit. Everyone understands the importance of continuing to build, which is why lively discussions are happening everywhere. We all want the best outcome possible. Keeping going and resolving the chaos the universe throws at one is the only way. I really appreciate the whole THORChad community, @CBarraford, @AaluxxMyth, @jpthor, and all the devs for their HARD work and resilience. timeline is all fud + mud but yeah, whatever, do you have any idea how hard it is to make a network that won't arbitrarily censor swaps.... ie - allows anyone to join as node but also safe from attacks? This won't kill TC at all. We upgrade to DKLs, get back to swapping and move on.

He couldnt be more wrong even if he tried. Dezentralization refers to the consensus mechanism at hand. Nodes came together and decided aka reached the consensus to halt the chain to protect itself. No censorship took place. If nodes come together and halt the chain —> decentralized If a single entity is able to halt the chain unilaterally —> centralized Of course if they were faster they could stopped it but thats purely theoretical and in real life not actually possible. You clearly dont understand what decentralization means and I urge you to do your research before you post brain-rotten bs.

Most likely explanation is a GG20 TSS exploit. Damage contained to 1 of 5 Asgard Vaults (20% fund loss) Malicious node churns in, extracts key material from other nodes, compiles a private key and can sweep the vault. There have been multiple CVEs on GG20 over the years, patched at the time. Devs are looking deeper. The community has already most likely identified the actual malicious node in this case.
