🎨 18 Principles Guiding My Current Artistic Journey 🎨 I've been thinking a lot about my latest art projects. I've learned some things that I want to share. These thoughts are how I feel right now, but they might change as I keep creating. 1️⃣ Authentic Creation: I find it more fulfilling to create based on my personal style and preferences, rather than trying to meet external expectations. 2️⃣ Quality Communication: For me, communication is about clarity and quality. Overcommunicating can often be less effective than precise, meaningful interactions. 3️⃣ Experiment Freely: Not every idea I explore needs to be made public. Quick tests, like a ShaderToy concept in an hour, are both insightful and fun. 4️⃣ Modularity in Creation: I often approach projects as modular synthesizers, which suits well for my objectives, leading to surprising outcomes. 5️⃣ Depth in Every Layer: From the overarching composition to intricate textures, each layer holds significance. Diving deep into each one enriches the artwork. 6️⃣ Simplicity Can Be Profound: While complexity has its merits, I've found that simplifying an idea often reveals its true essence. Sometimes, removing an element can be more impactful than adding another. 7️⃣ Embrace Evolution: My style and techniques evolve with time, and I see this as a doorway to new creative horizons. 8️⃣ The Power of Taking a Break: Stepping away, even for a brief moment, can offer a fresh perspective and rejuvenate my creativity. 9️⃣ Networking Matters: Engaging with fellow artists and platforms enriches my understanding and unveils new opportunities. 🔟 Continuous Learning: Be it a new technique, delving into art history, or revisiting an artist's work, there's always something novel to unearth. 1️⃣1️⃣ Collaboration as Inspiration: Working with or alongside another artist always brings a fresh wave of inspiration. 1️⃣2️⃣ Loving My Stack: My current toolset, including a single fragment shader with minimal JavaScript, offers efficiency and aligns perfectly with my artistic approach. 1️⃣3️⃣ Decisiveness in Art: Making choices is integral to artistry. Even if a choice isn't perfect, it's better than remaining indecisive. 1️⃣4️⃣ Embrace Mistakes: Mistakes have been stepping stones in my journey, often leading to unexpected creative discoveries that become integral to the final piece. 1️⃣5️⃣ Set Boundaries: I've learned the importance of setting boundaries. Allocating time for self-care and non-artistic pursuits ensures a balanced life (like playing chess ♟️or having a guitar jam 🎸). 1️⃣6️⃣ Value of Feedback: Actively seeking feedback has been invaluable. Different perspectives can shed light on aspects I might have overlooked and help refine my work. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has given me feedback. 🙏 1️⃣7️⃣ Consistency is Key: Keeping a regular creative routine, even during uninspired phases, helps me maintain momentum and often leads to breakthroughs. 1️⃣8️⃣ Break the Rules: In art, it's good to mix things up and try new stuff. Sometimes, the best creations come when we skip the rules and just go with what feels right. These reflections serve as the compass guiding my current generative art journey. Fellow artists, what have your recent projects taught you? I'd love to hear your evolving insights!

Desolate is open for minting! :) Working on desolate was a long, but rewarding process. I learnt a ton about myself as an artist, and about working on something bigger than yourself. The core components are not as complex as some of my other works, but the refinement in those components is really what I put most of my time into. I've highlighted my favourite aspects of the code on the site as well, with a little explanation. It has been an honour working with @gen_dot_art. Now it's time to let the art speak for itself! Link will be below.

A Moment in Line #9 by @morpheu55 . My first piece of #generativeart minted on ethereum using the @alba platform. Recreating hand drawn energy using code for some unbelievable outputs and keeping my current ⬛🟥🔲 palette going. Loving the platform and collections so far.
