The best days are the ones you don’t plan. Let’s go to the beach today he said. So we did. 😊 #Aldeburgh

I have today realised I need to wear my reading glasses more often than not. I need your reading glasses tips. I currently have one pair that are now living on top of my head. 🤓 Is this acceptable? #readingglasses #reading #smallprint #gettingolder

Two frogs in my wildlife pond created last year. 😁 Had one solitary frog for a while, so super happy he/she's got a friend. Eagle-eyes needed to spot them in the photo! #wildlifepond #commonfrog

It's been a 'Good Life' kind of weekend - homegrown runner beans blanched and frozen, homegrown beetroot pickled. Foraged blackberries and donated apples made into a crumble. And homegrown beans, carrots and potatoes for dinner! #allotment #homegrown

@HelenRo88542779 @greatfen @NaturalEngland I know 😞 And I do visit the Great Fen often so I'm usually clued up re ticks. It was so warm today though that I went with shorts. Most of the walk was great but the last section as your turn by the side of the house on the trail back to New Decoy was awful. Lesson learned 😔

@morris_emma @greatfen @NaturalEngland Ooh shorts Emma🩳👎, definitely a no no when out walking- nettles, brambles, ticks. It's why I am nicely tanned but have snow white legs😁Love Holme Fen though, a local favourite for me💚.

Lovely long walk along the Last of the Meres Trail @greatfen today. So many dragonflies. Can recommend! Be aware though the section through Holme Fen NNR @NaturalEngland is really overgrown with stinging nettles - not nice when wearing shorts! #ouch #wildlifebcn #greatfen

@HelenRo88542779 Sounds like a good long walk! I go over to Strawberry Hill quite often at the moment. I did need to look up the owl feathers to double check but they are such a distinctive colour they couldn't have been anything else. It was a rare find! I have a few pheasant feathers too :-)

@morris_emma Been a while since I did the walk from Riseley over to Knotting, Souldrop, Knotting Green + Strawberry Hill so I did it yesterday 💚. Love the barn owl feathers, I wouldn't be able to ID feathers, I did pick up a 58cm feather while walking in Rutland Friday, must be a pheasant📏!

12 weeks of no running thanks to a painful tib post injury. Tonight I ran 3km. Not far and not fast but it felt great. Plan to get back to 10km. Literally have gone from no weight bearing to running again. Amazing physio from Emily @rehabhubGB #running #physio #garmin

@volcaholic1 The Outfit. Very clever. Small cast and set in one place. Would make a great play. Mark Rylance is main character.

Can anyone recommend any relatively new films to watch before I spend hours scrolling and not watching anything?

@TheFens3 The house right next to the wood? It's still lived in! Hadn't really thought about it as an old railway building but it makes sense. Hope you get to visit the wood later in the year.

@morris_emma They seemed as waterlogged. But it was interesting to walk down the old track of the Varsity Line, which went alongside the wood. The new East West rail will run further north (orange dotted line). There is also what appears to be an abandoned house. An old railway building?

Finlay was frustrated that, after we drove all the way over, we found Hayley Wood to be closed. But it’s unsurprising: it looks well flooded out. wildlifebcn.org/nature-reserve…
