Cuyler and Everett Swanson were recognized at the City Council Board meeting last night for their accomplishments at the IHSA State Track meet. A big thank you to Mayor Chris Brown and the city for inviting our STATE CHAMPION and STATE RUNNER-UP to be honored. @MorrisHerald

The Boys team finished in 7th place overall as a team at the 2A State Meet! The best we’ve ever finished and a great way to cap off a great season!

Cuyler Swanson is your STATE CHAMPION in the 1600 meter run!! Cuyler is the first boys track athlete to win State! 🥇 Everett also took 8th place to get the medal count to 6 medals overall today!

Colin Zierman doubles up on medals and takes 7th place in the 300 meter hurdles and 8th in the 110 meter hurdles!

Everett Swanson takes 2nd place in the 3200 meter run with a new school record of 9:06.68 and Cuyler took 6th place with a time of 9:15.35! Amazing race!

STATE FINALS today!! Cuyler, Colin, and Everett all take the track two more times today!

A great day at the State Prelims! Cuyler Swanson (4:15.23) and Everett Swanson (4:15.55) both win their heats in the 1600 meter run to seed them at 1st and 3rd in the Finals! Colin Zierman qualifies for the State Finals in both the 110 meter hurdle and 300 meter hurdles!

Ava finishes her career in spectacular fashion! She PR’s in the 400 meter State Finals with a time of 58.92! She comes home with a 9th place medal and All-State honors! What a way to finish, Ava!

Best of luck to Ava Conley in the state finals today. Ava will compete in the 400 m dash at 3 PM today.

These two ladies gave their all today! Although they did not make finals, they had great performances! Leah took 2nd in her heat at 12th overall in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.46 and Dynasty finished 17th overall in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.60!

The 4 x 100 team crushed their PR with a time of 49.47. They take 13th overall out of 36 teams!

The Boys team finished in 3rd place at Sectionals! This is the highest place the Boys team has finished in school history! Helping build the culture year by year!!

Colin Zierman takes two 2nd place finishes to qualify him at STATE next weekend in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles! Way to go, Colin!!

Everett Swanson qualifies for STATE by qualifying in the 3200 meter run and taking 1st place with a time of 9:13.47 and finishes 3rd in the 1600 meter run with a qualifying time of 4:25.32. Congratulations, Everett!

Cuyler Swanson punches his ticket to STATE with a 1st place finish in the 1600 with a time of 4:21.20 and a 2nd place finish in the 3200 meter run with a time of 9:14.82! Great job, Cuyler!

Our second State Qualifier of the evening is Martin Lauterbach in Pole Vault!! Congrats, Martin!!

Owen Noon is our first State Qualifier with a qualifying height of 1.87 meters (6’2”)! Congrats, Owen!!
