Joburg Cbd is so weird ,the you go to Marshall Town and you get a glimpse of how Joburg should look like clean and functional, you go to Ghandi Square beautiful and lots of potential, you go to Hilbrow you feel like you you don’t belong as a South African, you go to braam you feel like you are too old for that area, you go to maboneng you see the idea but something is still missing and you can see the decline creeping back slowly, you go to Newtown you can feel the Spirit of art, talent and creativity but it’s being let down, you go to mtn Down to bree you feel like you are in a mad max movie
Ann ❤️@Annie_Modiba

You want to tell me that Joburg was populated by non South Africans all along? Neh they can go home

From the Bahamas to the top of the world. 🇧🇸 ➡️ 🇿🇦🥊 In 2017, a young, hungry Siyakholwa Kuse stood on the podium at the Youth Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas. He was just a kid proudly wearing the green and gold, introducing himself to the world and getting a taste of what international competition felt like. Back then, it was the start of a vision. What followed was nearly a decade of absolute sacrifice. No shortcuts. Just relentless discipline, grueling gym sessions, heartbreak, and the unwavering determination to prove he belonged at the absolute pinnacle of the sport. Every single fight and every tough lesson was just preparation for something bigger. Nine years later, the destination has been reached. On May 16, 2026, the journey came full circle on home soil at Emperors Palace. Siyakholwa "One Way" Kuse put on a masterclass performance to defeat Melvin Jerusalem and capture the WBC World Mini-flyweight Championship. He didn't just win a belt, he made history as only the fourth South African WBC champion ever and the first to win it at home in over two decades. From a youth medal in the Bahamas to the iconic green and gold WBC World Title belt in South Africa—the dream is officially reality.👑🇿🇦 #TeamSA #ForMyCountry

That's True. This is not a flex you think it is. There's about 11 KFC Franchises in our whole country.Basotho have long depended on organic food/meat way before all these franchises came in the country, which is still the thing now. Most households in Lesotho have a bunch of animals including chickens, not only hardbody Chickens. Basotho Ba rekisetsana diphoofolo(animals) le di peo(seeds) We have an abundance of so much land where we grow our own fruits and vegetables, extremely normal in Lesotho... That's why in the midst of inflation Basotho ALWAYS cry about things like oil, petrol and gas MORE! . It's never about food! It has never been about food. Ever, but congratulations on your millions of franchises.
Kasi Economy@KasiEconomy

Soweto has more KFC franchises than the entire country of Lesotho.

Almost a decade ago, eighty five God-fearing South Africans perished at a Nigerian church in Lagos. The government of South Africa led the repatriation of our fallen pilgrims. To date, neither the Nigerian government nor the church formally apologised. The families of the deceased have not been compensated. As South Africans, we did not engage in public outrage, nor falsely or recklessly accused or condemned them Nigerian government or public. We repatriated our loved ones and gave them decent funerals at home.

FACT: The arrest of Fani Masemola is a clear attempt to demoralise those fighting against organised crime in the SAPS. It is meant to humiliate him & decrease the momentum against powerful politicians, & rogue generals. I wish him strength. By putting him in a raw with accused in multiple murder, attempted murder, they want to paint him as rogue in the eyes of the public. He is not! They surely will also try to do the same to Mkhwanazi! Because in essence, they are saying to us all that South Africa must be ruled by drug lords, assassins, criminal gangs & their puppet politicians! We need to take a side! That is the only way now!

Entry-level jobs are exactly where young people gain experience, confidence and skills. If South Africans are locked out at the bottom, how are they supposed to climb to the top?
