One year after Germany shut down their last three reactor.
Main points:
1. Did Germany increase coal power?
No coal power went down despite zero nuclear. All panic makers were proven wrong.
2. Did Germany increase its carbon intensity (emission factor)?
No Germany emission factor went down! The nuclearists were PROVEN wrong.
3. Did the electricity prices in Germany increase as predicted by some "super smart economists"?
No electricity prices went down and are now at pre war level. The "super smart economists" were proven SUPER DUMM!
4. Did Imports "save" Germany?
No the import part is still very low in Germany (2 %) compared to the overall consumption and production.
5. Did Germany experience any Blackout?
No blackout at all. According to the SAIDI Index Germany's grid is one of the most stable all over the world despite panic makers saying otherwise.
Summary: Nobody needs nuclear energy.
Mainly wind and solar are able to generate enough electricity for Europe and the world. Humanity needs however to continue to work on more renewables, more electricity consumers (like E-vehicles to absorb the massive amount of electricity when available) and on much more interconnectivity.
Planet Earth as a whole does not have any Dunkelflaute. The larger the space the less is the likelihood of a Dunkelflaute. Especially Germany should increase the interconnectivity with Norway and Sweden.
