Police were travelling around the area when they spotted two Toyota Quantum taxis blocking a maroon SUV. They immediately stopped their vehicle, and upon intervening, they found that the four taxi operators attacked a 48-year-old man who was driving a maroon SUV. The victim alleged that the taxi operators accused him of pirating as a taxi. They assaulted him and demanded an amount of R2500 fee before he could be released. He then opened a case against the four taxi operators aged 30 and 48 years old of Mankweng Taxi Association and they were arrested on the spot. #ChronicleNews
