Liability of removing kids is far less risky than keeping kids when we know theres a percentage if fuckin retarded gooner furries that staff and security fail to prevent. We are talking about a con that didnt even do research on Crusader Cat before approving his presence in a parade, a literal neo nazi. I genuinely don’t believe the con is doing anything to limit liability or victimization, instead it uses “family friendly” as a marketing ad to get more revenue.

So one major problem with removing minors is the furrycons have been marketed as family friendly since the start of the Fandom's golden age, so there is a social aspect that would have to come to a reckoning. On top of that the family friendly moniker is very much a tool to allow the fandom to open new venues much easier due to the optics from a public image perspective. It is much easier to sell a potential vendor that the event you want them to host is a family friendly convention, and its a relatively easy off ramp liability wise when one if the con goers decides to be a retard and do some real dumb shit like fuck in a hallway.

Any furry you see answering this with "just make cons 18+" is virtue signaling. They don't actually care about the safety of children, they just want them out so they can turn cons into a degenerate theme park. They'd rather kick kids out then deal with sexual predators.
