@Wizarab10 You should be happy those brothers are stepping in to make things easier for you. Don't see it from negative tachyons. By the way, you're indirectly preaching an autocratic mode of marriage. I don't understand Nigerian men.

READ. VERY IMPORTANT. PASS ON. DON'T IGNORE. NIGERIANS, AFRICANS IN THE UK. READ. SHARE EVERYWHERE. Outbreak Is Trying to Teach Us There is something about disease, and how it moves, quietly at first, almost politely, and then suddenly, without asking for permission, it rearranges lives. And now, in Kent, in the laughter-filled corridors of universities and the dim glow of nightclubs, meningitis has begun to speak again. Not loudly. Not yet. But enough. About 27 cases now, and at least two young lives already gone, and these are not just numbers, they are stories interrupted mid-sentence, they are futures that had barely begun to introduce themselves. The outbreak, largely of meningococcal group B, what we call MenB, is circling spaces where closeness is currency: shared air, shared drinks, shared laughter that lingers a little too long. And so we must pay attention, not with panic, but with a kind of informed tenderness. Because meningitis is not dramatic at first. It does not announce itself like a storm. It arrives like something familiar, a fever, a headache, a body that feels slightly off, and then more off, and then suddenly, frighteningly, not your own. And this is the danger: that it disguises itself as something ordinary, until it is no longer ordinary at all. It spreads the way intimacy does, through kisses, through shared bottles, through the unconscious trust of proximity. And so, the same closeness that makes us human, that makes university life feel alive and electric, also becomes the quiet pathway for something far more sinister. There is an irony here, and perhaps a lesson too. The response has begun, vaccinations extended, antibiotics offered, the NHS alert and watching, because this is what systems do when they recognise urgency. And still, the most powerful intervention remains awareness. Not fear, but knowledge that sits with you, that whispers when something feels wrong: this could be more. So you watch for the signs, the fever that lingers, the neck that stiffens, the light that suddenly feels too bright, the confusion that does not belong to you. And you do not wait. Because meningitis does not negotiate, and it does not give second chances generously. And yet, it is important to say this too: the risk to the wider public remains low. But low risk is not no risk, and in pockets of closeness, among students, among young people, the story is different, and more urgent, and more personal. And so this is not a call to fear, but a call to attention. To remember that awareness is a form of protection, and that sometimes, the difference between life and loss is simply how quickly we recognise what is unfolding. Because meningitis, like many things in life, does not always shout.Sometimes, it begins with a whisper. And what we do next, that is the story that matters.

@Wizarab10 You keep preaching kindness and I appreciate you for that. God bless you. Delving into the specifics — my barber charges N2k but I sometimes add N500 or 1k to show appreciation because he delivers my sporting waves properly.

N1k. Although I often pay more than that because he is undercharging. This reminds me of something. My Barber has been cutting my hair for 15 years (excluding the years I was abroad). Last December, I went to cut my hair and I was told he travelled to the village. I don't like changing barber but I had no choice. I dey vex but I went to another place closer to my house and he charged me N10k. My Barber returned in January and I told him he travelled early because I couldn't find him when I came. He said he lost his mom so he went to bury her. I didn't even know what to say. When he was done, I sent him N50k because I know he had spent a lot.

Men, how much does your barber now charge you for haircut in this economy?

@David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC I will forever rate Tuchel. He's just him. He knows what he wants. Totally less concerned with noise but active on delivery. Welcome back, Mainoo. Go ahead and show the world that Tuchel didn't make the mistake of calling back to the National Team.
