I want to thank my undergrad mentor Pete Van Zandt @mothapostle who introduced me to botany & ecology at Birmingham-Southern College. Pete modeled consistent listening and kindness that I seek to invest in undergraduate mentees in a small liberal arts college setting.

I still can’t believe it, but I’ll begin January 2024 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at @RhodesCollege in Memphis, TN! This job is a dream come true, and I’m grateful for so many people in my journey that helped me get to this place in my career:⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

It’s my first day in New Zealand, I order a coffee and my card gets declined. Just as I’m asking the woman behind the counter where is the nearest ATM, a woman sitting nearby jumps up and insists on paying for my coffee - “It’s my act of kindness for the day, enjoy your stay” 😭

17) In conclusion, I do not think Grealish has been as bad as many have thought. He obviously needs to improve in his game, but I believe he has done well for City so far and will continue to improve. I also believe Pep is happy with Grealish. Keep calm and trust the process.
