Since March, we've funded 55 amazing mums to run for selection as Labour MPs - these women are going to change our politics for the better, and we can't wait to see what they can do! #ProudMums

.@KaceyAkpoteni is a hard working local councillor who wants to stand for parliament to ensure that her experiences as an immigrant- feeling like an outsider and facing barriers others do not- do not impact generations to come.

.@NaomiTwedd fights for employment rights as a legal adviser in her Trade Union and wants to level the playfield so that her son’s generation can benefit from a Labour Government, just as she did.

.@SamaraBarnes1 is a period poverty campaigner and local activist who wants to take her motto of ‘deeds not words’ to Westminster.

.@JenCLabour is a Mum who benefited from the Sure Start centres of the previous Government who drove through policies to provide free school meals on her local council and wants to ensure there are more voices fighting for these policies in Parliament.

A positive, family-driven local campaigner, @Cllr_Morey has used her energy to represent mums on her PTA and driven down the price of school uniforms saving parents thousands of pounds during a cost of living crisis.

As an NHS dentist, @Rizwanalala 's work brings her close to her patients' lives. She will use her seat in Parliament to address some of the issues she sees every day from domestic violence, and food insecurity to NHS waiting times.

.@THLP_ASMA has spent over 10 years working in her community empowering local women with ESOL classes, I.T and job skills, and knows why its important that policy makers understand these barriers their constituents face.

.@punjasital is a local activist who wants to ensure that young girls who do not see women like themselves in parliament have strong role models to follow.
