The same people that are upset over Christopher Nolan casting a black actress, in his depiction of The Odyssey, are the same people that have a portrait of a blond, blue eyed Jesus in their homes.

But the anger should be directed at the right target. Nolan didn't write the rules. Hollywood's DEI quotas, baked into how films qualify for major awards, came from elsewhere. Filmmakers either play by those rules or watch their projects lose Oscar eligibility before the cameras even roll. Hollywood broke storytelling. Nolan's just navigating the wreckage. The system that punishes faithful adaptations is the actual villain, and it lives way above any one director. @variety

Ancient Greeks had less "Indo-European" DNA(R1b marker) than their modern ancestors, both have very little of it anyway and both have had Aegean/Anatolian markers in their majority.
