Is the Nigerian stock market overpriced? Let’s talk about it. The market P/E ratio right now is 13.9x. The 3 year average is 9.4x. That means we’re trading about 48% above historical norms. Year to date, the market is up 55.69%. The ASI has risen over 740% since 2015 but company earnings didn’t grow anywhere close to that. So what’s driving this? Banks posted massive profits from FX revaluation when naira crashed. That money was a one time event, not real business growth. Then PenCom raised pension fund equity limits in February 2026, potentially unlocking N1.6 trillion for stocks. More money chasing the same stocks means higher prices, not better companies. What does this mean for you? The era of “buy anything on NGX and win” is done. From here, returns depend on actual company performance. You’re no longer buying at a discount. You’re paying fair to full value. Not saying don’t invest. Saying be selective. Focus on companies with real earnings growth and solid fundamentals. When prices rise faster than profits, be careful. That’s not pessimism. That’s math.

You goofed when you failed to report the FY 2025 situation early, like a responsible institution should, to her shareholders so they can make informed decisions on whether or not to move their money or ride the storm with you. I don't disagree. You're right.
My guys Cross, Morris, Oloye, YomYom, have been telling me to buy a car and leave Uber and indrive alone, that this is not UK. I checked my account statement and realized I actually spent a lot on indrive last year.
But what really made me decide to get one was the endless messages of billing from these drivers.

Most times car owners says things like this to make them look rich among non-owners but I assure you nothing is there

What do I need a car for when I can comfortably sort out my transportation needs via public transport and still have enough savings to buy appreciating assets like lands than a depreciating asset like a car?
Is there a rule that says your business can't use more funding (value of the car), assuming that's what you choose to invest in?

So is it financially wise to tie down 4m to 8m, assume that's the value of the car, simply because I have meetings and quick errands to run? How many of such meetings and errands do you attend in a month and what would it cost you if you used public transport?
If you invest the money instead, can the returns pay enough to cover your transportation costs for the meetings and errands?
Most importantly, would you buy a car if public transport system and roads were working well in your area?

I have repaired my car comfortably because my car doesn't develop issues, most times it's just little maintenance and servicing which doesn't cost more than 25k approximately.

Look for ur sweet spot and evaluate ur budget. besides owning a car doesn't mean you're always on the road driving. Some of us got a car for important meetings and to run errands as fast as we can cus time Is money

@Ossanaquest @Wizarab10 I just told you I'm a sole entrepreneur, some months I make enough other months I don't even make a dime. I use my car when I have important meetings and if I need to get something done as fast as possible. I've tasted owning a car and not having one, I recommend owning 100%

@Ossanaquest @Wizarab10 Public transport is even worst. I believe you're not in either Abuja or Lagos that's why you're saying this. If you calculate how much you spend on public transport and the inconvenience plus theft and delays wallahi you'll know the importance of owning a car.

I know several persons who earn 300k and they've all sold their cars due to cost of maintenance and fuel.
