@EternalDreamerM I normally never let him ascend (unless I'm playing his origin), but this time I was intending to, bc durge... the thing is, I didn't say anything to discourage him, Gale did, and I never knew this could happen 🥺

@mousy_1996 I’ve found in my playthroughs it’s super easy to get him not to ascend! Even if you don’t romance him getting him to reject ascension requires you to basically just tell him he doesn’t need to ascend to feel safe/happy before you kill Cazador.

@tryin2bgreenman I have no idea, but I suspect it has something to do with not killing Yurgir, then forcing Astarion to take the astral tadpole (all things I would normally never do, so idk). But I was fully intent on ascending him, this happened out of seemingly nowhere 😵💫
