@adoringniran Ran the math compared to world stats. I’ve rounded up LGBT stats to about 9% of people around the world. OW has 43 human heroes. 9% of 43 is 3.87. There are 6 confirmed LGBT heroes in OW. This puts OW’s LGBT stats at double the average. They’re doing fine I’d say.

If wuyang+juno becomes canon, please do not fret oomfs. Regardless of what blizzard wants, we can ignore it and continue to ship wuyang however we wish with whoever we want. However, we need to start holding blizzard accountable for not giving enough queer rep.

I'm sure you don't actually want the answer but here it is. It's a combination of a couple of things. The obvious knee-jerk Banning of people that seems to be par for the course today. Lots of people getting banned for little to no reason. And this leads into the second Point very nicely The fact that this game is, inherently, a leftist game. You may not want to hear that but it is true. The majority of Their audience is going to be leftist, whether you like it or not. They've leaned into it over the years Again, you might not like to hear it, but leftists generally have a really hard time accepting people disagreeing with them or saying words they don't like. Its just ontologically true at this point. Since blizzard has leaned in to their core audience, as any company would, this is led to a reduction to almost a complete cessation of verbal communication during games. Thankfully, they have said they're going to try to reverse some of this damage in upcoming patches. Maybe they will reduce the strictness of their AI moderation and allow just basic banter to happen again, just like it happens in Marvel rivals. If people don't fear getting banned for the slightest negative comment and we force people to have to mute or block people to control their own experience rather than demanding that OverWatch as a platform exact some sort of Revenge punishment for them, things will get better. Maybe we might even get back to how it was pre-2020 Saw this coming a mile away. Years ago
