I come from a military family, so I understand the tendency to use it to relate and it's all "contextual" of course - many times I don't feel unsafe. Many times, I do. As for that last part, I think that's my argument: that nobody thinks about WHY...

@mpickett517 @KeruboSk 1) I can see how that would be anoying 2) usually they bring it up as a matter of pride in their family, not because you are black, I garuntee they talk about it to other white people too 3) most don’t really think about the racial make up of a place just stories about theft etc.
