The same think tank that said "peel off and neutralize racing". James Noyes and Matt Zarb have duped racing to get support for rises in RGD and have given nothing in return as predicted. Not 1 person going forward should listen to them. Time for racing and betting to reunite.

Not a good time for those who believed the Anti-gambling fairy stories about how well the budget would play out for Horse Racing. The winners were the black market and anti-gambling. Everyone else lost. "Firstly, in light of the recent changes to gambling taxation, we want to provide stability and certainty to the gambling sector. For this reason, the Government does not feel it is appropriate to pursue legislative changes to the rate of the horserace betting levy at this time"

The unregulated market should be bearing the brunt of all campaigns, all governments and Banks who could do more about those unregulated businesses make them less appealing. Online slots regulated or not are making the most money and doing most of the harm

Peace in our time? Is it possible that anti gambling campaigners and the industry can come together on a policy they mutually agree?
It would brave for Zarb and James Noyes to back a removal of affordability checks in public, it will no doubt draw significant frustrations from Public Health and others in the campaign, but now is time to put their money where their mouth is.
