We made seed bombs for #earthday! Seed bombs are an ancient Japanese practice and made popular in the '70s in NYC. They are small clusters of soil and clay packed with wildflower seeds. The original purpose was to bring greenery to neglected urban landscapes.

Thanks @MarkRober for teaching us about the P&G powder used to turn dirty water into drinkable water. Gr 5 tested this to see if they can make clean water. It worked & it was drinkable after we filtered it! Science is so cool especially when it helps save the world! #SDG6 @PGUK

What do you do right before winter break? You teach the kids how to make moldable snow and challenge them to make a snowman! I would say they succeeded. Happy #winterbreak!

A student asked "how is recycled paper made?" We decided to experiment! We looked for used paper we didn't need, shredded it and turned it into recycled paper! Today the kids got to draw on the paper they made! I love when projects form organically and through natural curiosity.

One way we could tackle Climate Change is to teach the next generation about the key issues that we face as a global society.

We are working on a green screen project to teach others about environmental threats on a biome.This group wanted to raise awareness of the oil & the mining industry that is affecting arctic animals, like moose (as demonstrated in this video). #ClimateAction #Savethearctic
