@ultimatesascha @bring_snaaacks Mine was very much “there is something mechanically preventing my knee from its normal ROM.” Didn’t mean to scare you! - just jumping into say that rest and PT is great and it can be hard to prioritize it among the arms race of fitness in elite sports.

@bring_snaaacks @mrJayClark Definitely. I had to get an MRI cuz mine was so bad

After struggling with knee tendinitis all club season, I finally rested it for 6 weeks, focused on PT and strength training and played in cleats again for the first time since Regs and felt great. I forgot how fast/athletic I can be when I’m not being held back by my own body.

@ultimatesascha @bring_snaaacks Jumping in here to say that I also had a knee scope in 2015 which was incredible and I also was very liable to overtraining before that. Cardio doesn’t mean much if you can’t move 😔

@bring_snaaacks 100000% better. Absolutely no pain anymore. Can't jump as high as I used to. But that also might be cuz I've gained some weight since then. Hahaha

@bagelpowered My sister is 10 years older than me and played D1 field hockey on scholarship. Watched a lot of games when I was little. Penalties are thrilling. Feels like battle. And the offensive strategies are sick. And back in the day they didn’t add any padding.

Like they just send like 5 defenders behind the goal, they put on more pads and then RUN out of the goal to play defense

The way penalties are done in field hockey is CRAZY

I didn’t know you were allowed to knock over hurdles and honestly that kinda fires me up for when I face metaphorical hurdles IRL
