🚨 OnlyFans’ owner just died, raising questions about the future of the biggest platform in the adult creator economy.
At the same time, lawmakers keep pushing new rules that affect how creators earn and operate.

1️⃣ OnlyFans Owner Dies, Platform Future Unclear
Leonid Radvinsky, the majority owner of OnlyFans, has passed away from cancer.
He played a key role in scaling the platform into one of the largest income sources for adult creators.
Now questions are being raised around ownership, potential sale talks, and long-term platform direction.
2️⃣ Section 230 Reform Back on the Table
The U.S. Senate held a hearing on potential changes to Section 230.
This law protects platforms from liability for user-generated content.
If weakened, platforms could face more lawsuits and stricter moderation pressure.
That has direct implications for adult content platforms.
3️⃣ Brazil Moves Forward With Age Verification Enforcement
Brazil released new guidelines requiring adult platforms to implement stronger age verification systems.
The law applies globally and includes fines based on platform revenue.
This affects access, traffic, and compliance for international creators.
4️⃣ Utah Signs Porn Tax + VPN Restrictions Into Law
Utah passed a law taxing adult content and holding platforms responsible if users bypass restrictions.
It also targets VPN usage.
This adds both financial pressure and tighter control over how users access content.
5️⃣ Ohio Advances Strict AV + Deepfake Bill
Ohio passed a bill requiring age verification and introducing penalties for deepfake adult content.
Fines can reach up to $100,000 per day for violations.
Another example of states tightening enforcement.
6️⃣ Court Ruling Expands Legal Protection for Sex Workers
A case in New South Wales ruled that failing to pay a sex worker can be prosecuted as assault.
This reframes how consent and payment are treated under the law.
7️⃣ FTC Reopens Discussion on Subscription Rules
The FTC is reviewing rules that could require platforms to make canceling subscriptions as easy as signing up.
If implemented, this could affect how fan subscriptions and recurring income models operate.
