By farthe most annoying thing that keeps coming up since getting the #2 pick is the idea of trading Ace and #2 to move up to 1. Why would the Jazz throw away a major piece to move up one spot? It makes literally no sense. The Jazz aren’t desperate in any way to get a specific guy

The main reason the Utah Jazz need to trade up to No. 1 is simply this: AJ Dybantsa will sign a long-term extension to stay in Utah. The Jazz need this pick still in SLC 15 years from now. AJ chose Utah for HS, then college at BYU. No other lottery pick is as sure to stay.

You can’t bank on players staying here, it’s about accumulating great talent and assets, and creating a winning culture. OKC is a great model
