@brakeboosted He said he was pretty optimistic abour the race pace in an interview. Maybe he was using the sprint to gain confidence in the car and test some things out?

Were 3 tenths back in race trim. More or less where it's been all season. Not sure what happened on lap 17 Lewis pace just started falling off a cliff afterwards. Leclerc had super pace from laps 9 to 14, but it was wildly inconsistent outside of that window.

No answer for the Mercedes powered cars in race trim. As has been the case all season. Pretty much losing 3 tenths on the back straight alone. Defending from the front using overtake is better than attacking from the back with overtake. Perfect execution in qualifying required now.
