i wanted to emphasize how community is the answer to basically everything, and it’s what tua has not had for most of their life and has grown to avoid completely. if she were to become more isolated and thus more cruel… there would be no lesson worth learning imho

said this elsewhere, but an important distinction w webh is that many post apocalyptic stories focus on morally good people becoming more gray over time due to the cruelty of their new surroundings, but for tua this would have been an out, a way to escape responsibility
