I don't usually post these results, but today's deck was something special. Top 8 out of 33 players. Don't laugh, it works.

@hARAIN_MTG Tamiyo is a filler card in this context. It doesn't take a lot of effort to make Brainstorm a broken card.

@mr_usea This is a big part of why I dont like Tamiyo. Less to do with the power level but more so that the cantrip cartel already kills a ton of variety

Legacy and Vintage deckbuilding matter a lot less when your deckbuilding ideas start with a lot of the same cards, archetype dependent. I don't think "breaking the meta in half" is as important as understanding how to leverage the broken cards, and how they mix with the filler.

Enjoy the tournament winnings, they'll run out before the life-long embarrassment of being branded a cheater runs its course.

@RealPokemoki Standard has never been good the whole rotation system is terrible. Just play Commander (and not CEDH). I have multiple 200 dollar decks that I made out of the cards I already owned that I have fun playing even if I get creamed. Self inflicted injuries are the worst.

Man, standard is so good right now. It sucks that every deck is $600, cards take 3 weeks to arrive ever since Trump gutted the postal system in his 1st term, and the meta is completely upended every 6 weeks w/ a new set release.

@spellyp @Psy_404 To be frank, brother, that feels like a side step to the original poll. Are you and I directly asking an AI to currently steal another person’s work? Or are we having a discussion on that topic at 10:05pm on a Monday?

@mr_usea @Psy_404 I mean, we are all on twitter right now discussing this, which uses one of the largest and most destructive ai…….. so should any of us be talking about being anti ai? It boils down to this, it seems like some people started to harass one of the locals and that is the issue here

Question: How would it make you feel if your local premodern scene was using AI generated artwork to create their promos/door prizes/etc

@spellyp @Psy_404 I see where you’re coming from - it’s the example of 100 corps emitting something like 77% of the world’s pollution. But, I also think that when the opportunity cost to forfeit AI art is negligible then it’s morally responsible to do so in terms of theft and emissions.

@Psy_404 Ai is typically bad, however 1 person using ai to make gifts for others is not a crime nor a bad thing. That 1 persons impact on our environment will not see changes, compared to giant corporations that use ai that are doing unrepairable damage to our world.

@Psy_404 I would not show up to their events to protest it.

@caro_irl That's how I feel about Reanimate here. It's either disgustingly good or the easiest card to board out (re Storm, Forge, Cephalid Breakfast, etc).

I love playing bad cards in my maindeck so that I easily know what to board out after game 1
