A6: Tech moves Ss more easily into a realm of doing rather than knowing. This opens up the need to collaborate, problem solve, investigate, create, think deeper, and communicate with academic Lang. Create is the cog! #utedchat

@Iancdavey Definatley easier to connect online than to travel down to mainstreet as we as kids needed to do.

Q5: I think it boils down to creating authentic experiences and connections. I wouldn't say tech in itself does this but it can increase it through access to collaboration with processionals and peers available info for inquiry and problem based etc. #utedchat

@Brent99732113 Ss have the problem of too much info and disinformation. They need to develop strategies to continue filtration for quality sources.

A3 Back in the day I had the encyclopedia, now with all the technology I have there is a wealth of information. Students who use tech will see the world I see it #utedchat

@cultofpedagogy Secondary teacher here who has applied these models and studied them. They take time and and much more thorough than the time we often have.

One thing I know for sure, though: When I look at Instructional Design materials? They look hard. My mind starts scrambling. It makes me wonder if schools of teacher ed keep this stuff away because they don't believe pre-service teachers can handle the rigor.

WTF moment: The day I learned about a field of study called Instructional Design that somehow had no relationship with schools of teacher education. This field has GOBS of theory and systems and a whole vocabulary that preservice teachers know nothing about. How can this be?
