@taylorda01 Great work Dave! Perfect for some of our potential learners in FE that May think they haven’t got the grade 4, great prep for a potential Nov resit. Thanks!

@hartmaths Save some boxes from the recycle bin, get them to unfold them (take off any tabs) and measure the area of each rectangle. Talk about nets, if possible get some tubes (cylinders) and different 3d shapes. Generalise a method, job done ✅

@iantomp @robertbms Fair play, I was just looking at it thinking that’s complicated but to get practice in and understanding multiples 👍🏼

Long division using knowledge of multiples; my year 6 class showed great determination and resilience giving this a go today. One proud teacher. @robertbms

I recently got a visualiser for the first time in maths - today I taught measuring angles and this was a GAME CHANGER! I have never been so confident that students actually knew how to use their protractor. So, maths peeps, what other topics are great to teach with a visualiser?

Disagreement in my department today. Question on year 10 paper describing an enlargement. One said you have to say the word enlargement not enlarged otherwise no mark and the other saying enlarged is fine to use. Help please? @mathsjem @mrshawthorne7 @taylorda01 @BrookeEHunter

Too much regrouping can get tricky & with so much going on mistakes can easily be made. Has anyone got method 2 in their calculation policy? I wonder if representing with negative numbers will stop children saying " 3-5, you can't do it!" #edutwitter #mathschat #primarymaths
