The Jalen Carter ejection was huge but the Eagles still did enough to beat Dallas 24-20. When teams don’t play regulars (which I’ve come to understand) in the pre season, the September games are used to round into form. Jalen Hurts simply finds way to win.
The Eagles’ ring ceremony was elegant. This really is a special group of extremely talented athletes. Jeffrey Lurie heads a great organization. I was proud to be included in this extraordinary night.
Saddened by the passing of Bryan Braman. He played football with passion. He truly loved every second on the field. Off the field he was one of the nicest, most caring people you could ever be around.
It was a great U.S Open with drama all the way and one of the most memorable endings ever. J.J. Spain showed incredible resilience bouncing back from a nightmarish front nine.
What a lesson he provided for all of us.
Phenomenal Super Bowl win by the Eagles. Jalen Hurts outplayed Patrick Mahomes again and the game’s MVP has a championship this time. Vic Fangio’s defense suffocated the Chiefs and the normally unflappable Mahomes was sacked time and time again. This is the best Eagles team ever.
What a fun day. Jalen hurts was outstanding, Saquon was Saquon, the defense did what it had to, and the Commanders killed themselves with turnovers. Bring on the Chiefs!
Fittingly the two best teams in the NFL collide.
Saquon Barkley is absolutely the greatest running back in modern Eagles history. He, more than any quarterback, deserves to be this season’s MVP. Teams game plan to stop him but at some point he breaks away and leaves defenders in his wake.
Beat the Rams tomorrow and it’s the Birds and the Commanders next Sunday at the Linc for a trip to the Super Bowl.
Don’t forget that when the Eagles lost in Landover Jalen Hurts missed the last 3 quarters with a concussion. But first things first…..they must beat the Rams!
Not the most dynamic offensive performance but the Eagles got the job done. They took advantage of turnovers and beat the Packers by a comfortable margin. The defense shut down Green Bay all game. It was an acceptable start of their playoff run.
Thrilled that former Eagles cornerback Eric Allen is a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was a phenomenal player (and person). EA was a 6 time all pro. His pick six at the Jets in 1993 was one of the most thrilling plays I ever called.
Wonderful ending to a terrific regular season. I truly believe that the Eagles are as good as any team in the NFL.
The Packers represent a great challenge but if the
Birds play up to their standards they’ll be in great shape.
After a slow start the Eagles took care of business in a big way as they devoured the Cowboys. It was thrilling to see Saquon Barkley become only the 9th player ever to hit the 2,000
yard rushing mark. I would not play starters next week. There’s too much at stake.
So sad to learn of the passing of my dear friend Bill Bergey this morning. Number 66 was one of the greatest players of all time. Nobody ever loved his family, friends, and Eagles fans more. May Bubba rest in peace.
Tough loss for the Eagles. Kenny Pickett did an admirable job filling in for Jalen Hurts but the defense hurt themselves with avoidable penalties. It’s hard to believe they had 5 takeaways and still lost. Next Sunday’s game against Dallas will not be easy.
Wonderful decisive win by the Eagles. Jalen Hurts was at his best. The Steelers came in prepared to stop the run so Brown and Smith thrived. Vic Fangio’s defense is terrorizing opponents. Right now there isn’t a better team in the NFL.
This Eagles team has a lot of character. The fought their way through some rough spots in the first half and then made critical play after critical play to run away from Washington. There were too many stars to name. One thing is clear…they know how to win!
Another win for the Birds. The Cowboys have fallen on hard times but after a few early mistakes the Eagles were unstoppable in every phase. Can’t wait for Thursday night !
