15 years ago. My boys were there. I couldn’t make it cos I was working in Glasgow. Watched it in Tennents bar in the Byres road. Knocked a guy’s pint over when I jumped up. He took it well.

I’m in Australia so it’s the night after last’s night’s broadcast for me (is that right?) but the sentiment still holds. And it’s still on iPlayer where the concept of ‘last night’s broadcast’ is a mirage, so fill yer boots.

Who am I to argue with The Chief?

St Martin’s Lane cinema. 1986. I went to see Blue Velvet with Morwenna Banks. As it panned from the red flowers and picket fence to the waving fireman we turned to each other, both already grinning, knowing we were safe in the hands of a master. RIP David Lynch. A proper genius.

Obviously I haven’t paid for speedy boarding as I am a man of the people. It’s just an observation.

Let’s face it, speedy boarding is just speedy waiting.
