The difference maker? Your attitude and effort. Things are going to get hard. The question is… What are you going to do about it? #multiplyexcellence

If you want to bust a culture, stop making excuses. -“He’s SPED.” ❌ -“She has a language barrier.” ❌ -“Not enough time.” ❌ -“She has it tough at home.” ❌ -“Parents don’t care.” ❌ -“Bad behavior.” ❌ When there’s a will, there’s a way. #multiplyexcellence

There really isn’t an excuse for not doing what’s best for kids. A school with a positive culture faces the problem and then asks, “Now what?” 🔸A student is chronically absent? Now what? 🔹A student isn’t achieving? Now what? 🔸A student is dysregulated? Now what? 🔹A student seeks negative attention? Now what? Culture is continuing the conversation rather than letting the excuse be the reason to end it. #multiplyexcellence

The culture of a school is created by everyone in the school. Walk in a school and see how the front office staff talks and interacts or the staff /teachers in the hallway. Yes, the admin influences it, but everyone is ultimately responsible for a positive school culture.

Honored to have a visit from State Representative Laura Faver Dias yesterday. We talked about issues educators and students are facing. As a former teacher, she was receptive, empathetic, and committed to using our input for change! #BHWarriorPride #advocacyinaction @ilprincipals

Our @bhmscctf track team won their meet against @D114Stanton, and Mr. Sefcik, the good sport that he is, is wearing a Big Hollow PE uniform today. Thanks for the friendly cross-town rivalry. You look good in blue! #BHWarriorPride

The phrase “behavior problem” drives me crazy. There is no such thing as a behavior problem child in school. Behaviors are not the problem they are always solutions kids pick to their problems. Focus on the underlying cause for real results. #thatonekid

If the goal is to get the correct answer... we can stop teaching math. The Internet has solved that problem. If we want to teach students NUMBER SENSE then it is important that they are able to solve problems in more than one way! #mathchat
