@DamonPThomas We use MAP testing. It provides instant results. Adaptive testing to provide a more accurate picture of students knowledge. And focuses on student growth.

Am I right in thinking many schools get a lot of value out of PAT testing? Nobody ever seems to complain about it, it's apparently quite informative, and it's done in more than half of all schools in the country. Should NAPLAN be more like PAT? PATLAN? NAPPAT?

More work on our 3D object inquiry today. Firstly a discussion using @Shapes3D augmented reality app on the iPad then making our own using matchsticks and blu tack. #ibpyp #inquiry

3D shape provocation today. Students came in to cardboard all over the room. Without any direction they started folding the tabs & creases & eventually started putting prisms & pyramids together. Once they’d finished they used connector tabs to join it together. #ibpyp #inquiry

Election Day in the ACT tomorrow so we voted ourselves today at school. All the Year 3-6 students loved learning about all the candidates and getting the opportunity to have their say. Now the counting begins!

A new term so what better way to start it off than with a new classroom layout. My students arrived to this on Monday and after discussing @dthornburg’s learning spaces together we created our campfire, watering hole and cave. We’re all very pleased with it.
