Social Distortion 'Mainliner'

Couple years out of high school, I was on a crew building cooling towers. One Saturday we were working on top of a building on Spring in Downtown L.A when a welder set off the fire alarm. The LAFD evacuated the building, and in all the chaos, KROQ hit us with “Hey! Ho! Let’s Go!”

The concert was originally scheduled for Billboard Live but moved to The Hollywood Palace due to technical difficulties and code enforcement.

The Ramones played their 2,263rd and final concert on August 6, 1996, at The Palace in Hollywood, California. This historic performance concluded the band's 22-year career. The Ramones 'Pet Sematary' (Last Show)

happy happy birthday to my man Rob who told me the best thing when i was accidentally given magic mushrooms for the first time. it was del playa, isla vista. it was on a very busy friday night. a beautiful young woman had a vibrant green mini dress on. she was standing in the middle of the road. we were both looking at her but he was sober and looking at me looking at her and finally i said i HAVE TO TALK TO HER. calmly and wisely he said, "if you wouldn't talk to her in real life, you probably shouldn't talk to her on shrooms." it was our first year at ucsb. we were young. he was 17. i took his advice. my whole life since has been about talking to every single person in real life, so if i accidentally get shroomed again and someone is out there looking incredible, rob will let me talk to them.

"Shut Up, Be Happy," released in 1989, was a collaboration between Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys and rapper Ice-T. Jello handled the spoken-word verses over music by Ice-T and Afrika Islam.
