Hear me out: A show like “Shark Tank,” but instead of investors there are 5 teachers from different grades, subjects and backgrounds. And people are pitching the “newest” ED tech and teaching strategies, and the teachers have to agree if it is worth the time and money.

@WeAreTeachers I would be teaching the grade I was assigned. Not teaching 4th and having a kindergarten to 5th grade academically, socially and emotional span in one room, including Special ed, EI, ODD, Autistic and now the Interventionist for Reading too!

@chickensbees I'm having the same issues. This is so frustrating with finding Trulicity every month. Diabetics should have the priorities for these medications.

I’m diabetic (Type 2, but the type really doesn’t matter). Doctor wanted to put me on Ozempic but she couldn’t because lots of non diabetics took all the supply for weight loss. She put me on Trulicity, which I now also can’t get for the same reasons. For fuck’s sake.

If you ever want an honest and unfiltered opinion of how you look, just ask a 5 or 6-year-old. They keep it VERY real, and they are too young to know that they should lie. Honest question for elementary school teachers: do your students analyze and judge you daily?

@SNCollins Sorry to hear! I had a class like this once. I said enjoy your sub tomorrow. I'll return when you can treat me better. They didn't like having subs. Next time, they were out of control. I see we need some time apart again. The majority put positive peer pressure on the few.

One of my classes today was so ill-behaved, so out of control, that they made me cry, then continued talking and shouting over me while I cried and didn't even care. 🙃 They have been the worst part of my day every day all year. Nothing I have tried has helped. I'm done.

So, there’s this sophomore (let’s call him Will) in my Credit Recovery class, a joyful kid with more F’s than passing grades on his transcript. Will spends all period on his tablet, but doesn’t complete any course work. Today I got a glimpse of what he’s been doing. 🧵⬇️
