Cook is talking more generally but interesting to note that money isn't much of a factor in the recent debate around Jacob Bethell. Bethell's RCB contract is worth INR 2.6cr (£202k approx.) for two months at the IPL, but he'll earn £340,000 in a month this summer in the Hundred

@JC_1973 Yep both sides of this debate are reasonable in my opinion. Can see why it frustrates people - especially when Bethell wasn't playing - but it's the reality
