@boehmerB @ikwilson They cannot stop us from declaring our will. Everyone can vote their conscience, but if they try to stop a vote at all they are just proving that we are right for wanting to leave.

Canada's boomercrats are openly talking about stopping the best and brightest from leaving for places with better opportunities instead of fixing the damn country. Going to become a thing in Europe too I think.

Here we go, folks. New Brunswick's credit rating was downgraded from "stable" to "negative". All it took was a single year of Liberal leadership. After 7 consecutive balanced budgets under the PC Higgs Govt, Holt blew the budget out of the water. No one should be surprised!

There has been a lot of discussion about whether Alberta’s newly announced referendum questions compromise the legal path to independence. This video explains why the answer is no, what the Clarity Act requires, and why the independence question still matters most. Watch here: youtu.be/9CzK0E1lAyE

Some are calling this decision a “win.” I don’t see it that way. Pausing a lawful citizen petition process isn’t a victory for democracy--it delays the ability of ordinary people to be heard. True reconciliation and a healthy democracy both depend on open participation, not limiting it. We should be finding ways to include voices: not stall them. Go sign the petition while you still are allowed to. #AlbertaIndependence

The TN visa was part of NAFTA and now CUSMA. There is a reciprocal Canadian visa for American professionals. Instead of copying East Germany, we should fix things so Canadian professionals want to stay and its as attractive to move north for a career as it is to go south.

Even opponents to independence won’t go as far as suggesting there can’t be a petition or even a vote. They understand this is a political issue and that requires a political solution: a vote by Albertans.

I am not a separatist. Nor am I a lawyer. But it seems to me that requiring a Duty to Consult before a successful referendum seems premature. Treaty rights would matter in any negotiations, but it is still hypothetical at this point. 1/3

Force them to stay so they can keep my house price high, and pay my pension plan. This is Canada now.

If anyone thinks Ottawa-appointed judges telling Albertans they're not even allowed to vote on their future is going to help, you're crazy. This very well could be the thing that separatism needs to go from the low 30s to the low 40s and make the referendum campaign competitive.
