@ChadowskiIsBack Did you expect homelander to win at the end? From Season 1 it was shown that Homelander was just a pathetic manchild with superpowers.

I think a lot of people need to come to terms with the reality that this show was deliberately driven into the ground because it became too popular with the "wrong types" of people in the eyes of the show runners. Be it The Man in the High Castle Be it Joker Be it Civil War Be it The Boys Any show/movie that has the interest of young, right-wing men will inevitably be driven into the ground due to hatred from its own creator over the audience enjoying it.

Brutal and deserved. Massie beclowned himself. Refusing to vote to pass the BBB was a huge mistake. In politics, you have to make short term compromises for the sake of achieving your long term goals. For instance, Massie could have put his vote on the BBB up for "sale" in exchange for some relatively small but meaningful cuts to some government programs. He could have secured a real, concrete victory and made the BBB marginally better while also working with Trump. Instead he did his "principled" grandstanding and then indulged his own ego to the point of implying the President was a pedophile defender--just an outright lie. Very foolish. Massie could have done a lot of good. He is right that deficits are bad, that foreign intervention is a drain on the nation, and that taxes are too high. He was one of the most sensible political voices on COVID. But he couldn't grasp the political situation. He could not appreciate the real challenges that he needed to navigate politically to get what he wanted. He was more interested in being on TV and podcasts than governing. Well, now he will have the free time to do as many media appearances as he wants. Sad.

@pissedpant "Shot and killed by one of the cops [returning gunfire against an armed suspect]." The moron pulled his pellet gun, which looks like a real firearm, out at the officers. The camera man's death is not because of the police, it's because of the environment the criminal created.

Last year, the city of Austin turned off their Flock cameras as the result of a targeted misinformation campaign. This weekend, for nearly 24 hours, three suspects drove around Austin in stolen vehicles, undetected, conducting a shooting spree at 12 separate locations. They shot multiple people, houses, apartment buildings, businesses, and fire stations. They committed multiple robberies and car thefts during the spree. Despite a full manhunt involving 200 officers, with helicopter and K9 support, they weren't able to locate the suspects, and the spree continued. Luckily, the suspects drove into the Flock-supported city of Manor, TX. Manor is a small city with ~20k residents, and a fraction of Austin's budget. What they do have is modern technology and the ability not to fall victim to misinformation campaigns. After the suspects drove into Manor to continue their shooting spree, Manor PD located them almost immediately. The residents of Manor stayed safe. This is a tale of two cities. I love Austin. I have plenty of friends who live there. I myself almost moved there years ago. I'm glad that the shooting spree is over, but I just wish it never happened.

@Griot2325 The KeystoneXL pipeline would have done nothing for gas prices. It was to export Canadian crude oil to the gulf to export to China retard. On a global oil demand scale, you're talking <1% would have been supplied by the pipeline.

@Baxate No. They are (a) the enemy, and (b) the ones firing the first shots. You don't make nice with the enemy. You destroy them, without mercy, before they destroy you. They picked this fight. In five years, the power of their "vote" will be zero anyway.

An army specialist team from the United Kingdom conducted a parachute operation on Saturday to deliver medical support to a British national suspected of having hantavirus in Tristan da Cunha, Britain’s most remote overseas territory. “With oxygen supplies on the island at a critical level, an airdrop with medical personnel was the only method of getting vital care to the patient in time,” U.K. Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said.

ATTKISSON: What happened to the audit of Fort Knox? TRUMP: Which one are you talking about? ATTKISSON: You and Elon Musk talked about auditing the gold TRUMP: We wanted to go knock on the door and see whether or not we have any gold in there. We played with that. I wonder if they left the gold in Fort Knox, because they steal a lot. I do want to go to Fort Knox sometime

@bdomenech Jobs, Elon, even Rockefeller. None born with a silver spoon. This narrative much more true for socialist countries where the circumstances of your birth strongly determine your outcomes in life. Strange that they want to import this very bad system.

Jeff Bezos was born in Alberquerque to a 17 year old high school mom who divorced his alcoholic dad before Jeff was 2. He worked at McDonald's before his grades earned his way into Princeton. He started Amazon in a garage with a 245k investment from his parents. That's reality.
