The flaw in your take: Spouses of Japanese nationals get a fast-track to Permanent Residency after just 3 years of marriage + 1 year living in Japan. That’s a major shortcut from the normal 10-year rule. A Japanese child makes approval far more likely. Household stability (often the wife’s) matters more than the foreigner’s solo income. That’s exactly why these broker schemes targeting lonely Japanese women work — and why divorce after the baby rarely stops the residency pipeline.
