this week has been a bit of a write-off from a health and well-being point of view.. I have some sort of dreaded lurgy going on alongside a dark grey cloud over my head.. might try a #spoonkitchen session later..!? but this random message from @mrpspots cheers me up.. 😆🙌

getting the hang of centering the clay once on the wheel is still a learning moment.. with @mrpspots on hand to bring things on track if needed.. and after a go at trimming, part two of today’s session was all about ‘bowls’..!? great to learn a bit about tools and technique..😀🙌

today’s #pottery session with the excellent @mrpspots was a tale of two parts.. the first being the trimming back a pre-made bowl with associated tools and techniques..!? this was EPIC, and as someone who turns on the woodlathe it was a great experience.. albeit novice level.. 🙌

such a tactile process to get to have a go with.. an oversized ‘blank’ trimmed back to shape and size.. it was great to get to have a go at this aspect of making a bowl in a session.. thank you to @mrpspots for prepping up prior to my visit this morning..!? 😀🙌

I have another throwing session tomorrow with the excellent @mrpspots at the @BanksMillStudio.. it was only 2wks ago but I have no doubt forgotten everything I learnt.. but that’s why we book more sessions.. maybe I can share what I learn at a future #NTUmakerclub session? 😆🙌
