@patrissimo Why do you reject out of hand the idea that quantum mechanics is a kind of magic dust?

I have found this to be a robust phenomenon - even people who think they are scientific materialists often have a strong & unsupported opinion that AI can’t replicate the human brain. They don’t realize they are assuming magic dust. IMO this is behind the “quantum mechanics” consciousness garbage. Our brain is just physics and chemistry. At some point we will be able to simulate it with sufficient precision. If you disagree - tell me why without using magic dust.
