8th grade Social Studies Ss at #McGuffey_MS enjoyed learning about the holiday #diadelosmuertos. They created papel picado, colored skulls to represent the sugar skulls, and made tissue paper flowers to represent the marigolds. 💀🏵️

From medals to anvils Ss shared items today in our Google Meet that remind them of a loved one who has passed away. This was a part of our #diadelosmuertos #DayoftheDead studies. We are learning about other cultures and how similar they can be to our own. #McGuffey_MS #family

Tried out @Mentimeter with my classes. It was a spur of the moment decision and it turned out great! Super easy and fast to set up, Ss had no trouble accessing it, and it created cool word clouds to help generate conversation. 👍🏻Thanks for suggesting it @MrsEngler1! #McGuffey_MS

Oct. is for Empathy! This month PRIDE Ss will show awareness for 2 important causes - Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness. Ss can participate in these special days by wearing purple on 10/12 or 10/15 and pink on 10/13 or 10/16. Raise awareness to save lives!
