@MadameSianMFL @joedale I teach it as a math equation : subject + auxiliary + past participle. If they follow the steps they can’t go wrong. In fact, I use math to teach all tenses.

Doing the past tense with my year 9s and they are constantly forgetting their auxiliary verbs - any hints or tips to help them practise/remember to include them! Spent far too many lessons on this now and I'm going mad!! #mfltwitterati
