Rachel and I are deeply saddened by the passing of Louisville Metro Police Department Detective Michelle Rusch. She served Louisville as a dedicated officer, and was also a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a passionate advocate for children and public safety. Her loss is felt deeply by all who knew her, and our hearts are with her family, friends, and fellow officers during this incredibly difficult time.
