So now Starmer is claiming he knew nothing about the vetting result despite in February claiming he knew everything about the process. Trying to weasel his way out again.

This is David, a highly respected journalist, informing Number 10, 7 months ago Meaning that his latest "earliest opportunity" to inform the House that he had misled it, is now the 11th September last year He is toast.

I don't normally publish conversations with Downing Street but this was my initial exchange with Downing Street's then director of communications over Mandelson failing vetting on 11 September last year.

There are rumours that it was Mandelson’s China links that made him fail the vetting… When you look at the Embassy deal and other matters, you have to ask… Is Keir Starmer compromised?

A question. We've been told Robbins had the authority to override the vetting decision. So where exactly is this authority codified. And when has it been used before. Because Whitehall sources are saying they have never been aware of anything like this happening at any point.

Many members of the Government have been forced to apologise for their part in covering up corruption. I gave Boris Johnson another chance to apologise today. He refused. He's a coward, not a leader. #PMQs

Starmer received a report outlining Mandelson’s connections with Jeffrey Epstein and still decided to overrule the Home Offices vetting. What a vile man.

Yvette Cooper is apparently claiming she was 'unaware' Peter Mandelson had failed vetting until 3pm yesterday. Absolute bollocks, but even if that is true, she should still resign along with Starmer for her own sheer incompetence. The wheels are finally falling off the wagon.
