It isn’t SEND training that schools need. It’s funding directly into schools to adequately staff them. It’s investment in alternative provision to make place available.

@jomickane Gritting can’t keep up with the amount of snow falling very quickly over several hours. Would be unreasonable to expect it.

@MrMekzy_ Line of Duty has been like that for me this Christmas holiday. Bit all my nails. One morning it was past 4am. The last season is in BBC iPlayer though, not Netflix.

I was teaching point of view to 5th grade via explicit, direct instruction. I was observed & my boss said that it was a difficult concept & the lesson wasn't student centric. I said they don't know the information yet, which is why I was telling them. 1/

We should never forget the plain obvious: those who died during the height of the pandemic have no voice. They can't speak of how they died, and their medical notes are mostly confidential. Our narrative is dominated by survivors and legislators.

@MrBoothY6 Are you in an area close to landfill? Biffa, for example, does grants to offset the environmental impact of the landfill. Housing developments too. Your local district and county councillors can also award grants and you could try your local parish council if you have one.

Anyone know any good grants that can be applied for, for improving outdoor areas, particularly for the early years?

Over 76% of teachers are reporting stress. The DfE evidence to the Pay Review Body is pointing to a multi-year pay cut that is to be funded out of existing budgets. Whilst there has been some positive steps - this is completely tone deaf.

Last but not least, @n_setterington joined us in September to run teaching and learning. She has implemented @Steplab_co, oversees our early career teachers and new starters, and is responsible for cover each day alongside line management and staff training.

@mrsmcspud @MrDavidScales @n_setterington @Steplab_co This exactly mirrors the advisory and inspection services previously operated by LAs, and has the same flaws. I am not suggesting that any individual is not offering vfm - I have no evidence on which to base that.

@MrDavidScales @n_setterington @Steplab_co None of us is anything without a team, and I'm trying hard not to appear to criticise any individual. Having worked in small schools, which are currently expected to do as much as large ones, I can only agree.

Where does a word document go when you’ve saved it but it’s not where you thought? Have searched all the obvious places.

Or we can stop paying CEOs £150,000+?
