@SoLInTheWild @VinceBoley I do the same - usually I have a prompt on the board thst they respond to in some way individually then I have them turn and talk in groups of 2-3 depending on the prompt/purpose.

@VinceBoley Do you have them prepare a response in preparation? I started giving them a sentence frame to complete in advance then the turn and talk. It helped a lot. I guess you might call it more of a Think-Pair-Share but either way they are turning and talking. 😬

Looking for some feedback and advice on using more structured "Turn and Talks" in my classroom. Sometimes students just stare at each other in silence (maybe with some slight drooling). How do I get every student engaged during turn and talks?
