The trans community does not help itself by promoting surgeries and drugs for children. If they left children to wait till they were an adult like @BlaireWhite advocates there would be less backlash.

I’ve experienced more homophobia, biphobia, dehumanisation and abuse from the anti-trans crowd in the last 10+ years than I did my entire formative experience growing up during Section 28. The crux was the other week when I watched in real time as they hunted down someone on Facebook they suspected of being trans, found their childhood photos (on their mothers profile), saved and begun disseminating them here, throwing them through AI to change gender, etc. All whilst calling the person a predator and all sorts. Truly remarkable abusive spectacle. Their blood lust for hate year in, year out just grows and grows. Insatiable and goddamn evil.
