While making money on the electric produced... & while increasing biodiversity. We are NOT short of farmland. We are struggling for energy security. & our biodiversity and wildlife, has been utterly ruined. In large part, by extensive piss poor farming practices and greed. So, there is that.

You can grow crops under the solar panels. The area under panels also helps wildlife diversity and provides a habitat to help replace the ones farmers ripped up and that we lost, when they removed all the hedges. They're a wildlife haven and a diversity boon. Also, speak to the rich tax dodgers who bought up thousands of acres of that land you are on about and don't work it properly. Who have done, what you are worried about.
