The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

There are only about 10 Republicans in the House right now that are refusing to vote to reauthorize FISA without warrant requirements and a few other changes. The rest of them are completely fine with voting to give your tax payer funded government the ability to spy on you without having to get a warrant first. Trump said he will give up his rights for FISA and is demanding Republicans “ just pass it” even after FISA was used to secretly spy on his campaign and had been used against hundreds of thousands of Americans. The betrayals are increasingly so bad. I don’t know how they face their constituents.

Donald Trump says the Save America Act will guarantee Republican wins for the next 50 years. Ironically, I think it might do the opposite. If this bill passes, elderly and rural voters who have voted for DECADES will face new barriers to voting. Their drivers licenses won’t be enough in most cases. And these voters often do not have passports or other official paperwork. If it passes, they will have to dig through closets, travel long distances, wait in lines and pay fees — just to vote.

Elon cares more about Americans than Democrat politicians. TSA workers are suffering and having to worry about paying their rent or mortgages, and food for their families. Americans wait for hours in lines and miss connecting flights. Democrats use the shutdown and delays to cause as much pain and chaos as possible to get Americans to press for it to end. We are simply collateral damage in the Democrat's political games. Democrats prove every day that they don't care about us.
