Peugeot wasn't very successful with car sales in North America. Nonetheless, the brand sold Peugeots for years in the US. The Peugeot 304 might have been considered a luxury car by French standards. For Americans, however, it was just a small car that you also had to shift gears!

At the other end of the Sunbeam range was the LS, with its unusually-small 928cc engine (a development of the old Hillman Imp unit). Supplies of the Sunbeam would soon dry up, since PSA killed it and the Avenger when the Linwood factory was unceremoniously axed in February 1981.

Talbot's Scottish-built Sunbeam had a mild facelift for 1981, the last year for the Avenger-derived rwd hatch. This French brochure featured the pleasantly sporty Ti on the cover; despite its name, the car's 1.6-litre 100 bhp engine was not fuel injected. #carbrochure #Talbot
