Incredibly proud to be part of the "community" that supports these players & coaches even though it's nothing short of negligence by the MHSAA to have them play a similar-enrollment "club" team for the 🏆. So many options out there to fix this ongoing problem... #ClubVsCommunity

@mrutkowski25 @FromTheSeidline Yes, Detroit Catholic Central has had a successful run in D1. It’s not as good as Lowell’s run in D2, though. Yet, if Lowell was a private school, it would invariably used as evidence of an imbalance.

It is what it is, I know it’s not going to change, but when you have an advantage of recruiting and scholarships it’s tough

@mrutkowski25 @FromTheSeidline So what? Public’s schools, for example, have won 100% of Division 2, Division 3, and Division 4 wrestling state titles since 1996. 30 years. You can “prove” anything by cherry-picking stats.

@rw_burns @FromTheSeidline Of course test scores and acceptance rates are higher. Mostly affluent families, top students and top athletes attend private schools. If you measured public schools on the same rates using only that population the numbers would be similar.

I know you are trying to be sarcastic. But the facts are clear by any metric you choose to use: test scores, University acceptance rates, surveys, etc. I never said all the best teachers were there, both of my parents taught in public schools, yet wanted me to attend a private school which I resisted.

Private Schools in the MHSAA Volleyball Tourney: 🏐 12.4% of teams. 🏐 37.5% of regional titles. 🏐 96-25 (.793) record vs. public schools. 🏐 49 of 86 private schools eliminated...by other private schools. The numbers keep repeating themselves for a reason. #ClubVsCommunity

@FromTheSeidline Couldn’t possibly agree with you more, the advantage is real and outside of Division 1 schools that can compete because of size of student population it’s really unbalanced. If you remove D1 the numbers are even more in favor of the private schools.

While the LIV Golf team championship is scheduled for Aug. 22-24 at The Cardinal, there actually will be one more day of play. On Wednesday, Aug. 20, the No. 12 and 13 seeded teams will square off, with the winner advancing to the 12-team playoff, starting Friday.

The school that takes a chance on this kid won’t be disappointed!!

Kalamazoo Christian, Kalamazoo College and WMU are not playable the remainder of the day with the second severe storm. All other fields are still playing.

Didn’t end the way we wanted it to, but couldn’t be more proud of the resume @gavin_rutkowski put together at Ike. Now it’s time for summer ball.

So proud of all the adversity Drew has fought through to earn a spot to play ball in college.

The growth I’ve seen out of him over the last 4 years as a player couldn’t make me more proud as a dad!!!

Been a stud since the first time I watched her play in the Upward league in 2nd grade!!

Have been watching Landen since machine pitch, great teammate and player!!
